Trump Crypto Portfolio
Donald Trump-linked crypto portfolio has sold off ether worth $2.4 million, Arkham Intelligence says Former President Donald Trump seems to have recently sold approximately $2.4 million worth of ether, as reported by blockchain data analysts Arkham Intelligence. The findings, based on ongoing tracking by the intelligence firm, indicate a significant move in Trump's digital asset holdings. Arkham Intelligence shared its discovery on the social media platform X, stating, "Looks like Donald Trump is selling his ETH. Three weeks ago he started sending ETH to Coinbase after months of accumulating Trump NFT royalties. His peak balance was $4 million. Based on the deposits, so far he's sold 1,075 ETH for $2.4 million." The intelligence firm had previously identified digital assets linked to Trump in August, relying on financial disclosures the former president filed earlier that month. Trump's foray into NFTs is notable. In December 2022, he released a collection of 45,000 NFTs, each priced at $99. This collection has seen a substantial trading volume, totaling 15,013 ETH ($35.4 million), according to OpenSea, a prominent NFT marketplace. Subsequently, in April, Trump introduced a second NFT collection, also priced at $99 each. The most recent addition to Trump's digital offerings is a set of digital trading cards, introduced earlier this month. These cards offer fans the opportunity to gain perks such as having dinner with the former president or acquiring an item worn by him when taken into custody by Georgia police after being indicted in August. It's crucial to note that Trump's NFT drops and promotions are managed by NFT INT LLC, an entity stated to be independent of Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Digital LLC, or their respective principals and affiliates. The website for Trump's digital trading cards specifies that NFT INT LLC uses Trump's name, likeness, and image under a paid license from CIC Digital LLC, which can be terminated or revoked according to its terms. Previously disclosed documents from Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington showed that Trump has been listed as the manager, president, secretary, and treasurer of CIC Digital LLC. These documents also indicated that the former president owns up to $5 million worth of ether and has earned at least $4.9 million from NFT licensing fees. The recent sale of ether assets by Trump aligns with a broader market trend, with ether experiencing a 17% surge over the past month. As of the latest data, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency was trading at $2,352, reflecting a 6.1% increase over the past 24 hours.
